Just like you, I saw an advert for 'marketing manager' or something similar, and applied for it. I had an interview where the nature of the job was not made clear in the slightest. The same as you, the job involved working from 10 to 10, and was paid far under the national minimum wage. Also the same as yours, my company (can't remember the name - they are in Manchester) was a cult. The day started with a session where people had to compliment each other in a very fake way, and then at a certain point, the music would start (Operation Blade - Bass In The Place!), and, when the bass hit, the boss would burst into the room, at which point we were supposed to applaud wildly, high-fiving each other and bumping chests. It was ridiculous, but you could see how people who had been there for some time had internalised the cult behaviour.

I had to leave after one week as the work caused me to have a nervous breakdown. I couldn't hack the hate. I just left, and they never paid me anything for the work I did, but the alternative was to take them to court and I needed the mental break. Now I realise that work like that which is never paid is a large part of their bottom line.

What worries me is that these companies go to great lengths to hide the true nature of their business, but now the gov't will cut benefits from anyone who rejects a job offer. I don't think that's fair.Steve Williamsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-492388986708274270.post-30667301792342937502011-11-18T03:35:09.977-08:002011-11-18T03:35:09.977-08:00Great to hear, where did you find my blog link? :)...Great to hear, where did you find my blog link? :)Hollie Weatherstonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07883164638971923601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-492388986708274270.post-89465906347255721432011-10-05T08:13:21.854-07:002011-10-05T08:13:21.854-07:00i love this photo... :)i love this photo... :)Operadaki Lamba Cinihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12779440907712825418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-492388986708274270.post-75922722602388222272011-10-05T08:11:11.504-07:002011-10-05T08:11:11.504-07:00dear Marie ,

Further, I think the statehood bid won't solve the conflict, but it is a step towards it.Joop Hoekstrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08257125634727194577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-492388986708274270.post-2023082896848906992011-09-14T03:03:25.528-07:002011-09-14T03:03:25.528-07:00Why call Hezbollah and Al Qaida terrorist orgs? It's a condition that is also referred to as 'compassion fatigue' - similar to the 'desensitization towards violence in video games' argument, the more the media show the public these images the less shocking they become and the more apathy grows towards them, most people feel there is nothing they can do so why bother! Thankfully that is not the case with everyone!sethboyk2https://www.blogger.com/profile/09987266883808624375noreply@blogger.com
